Our Mission

As established in our governing principles , the Association exists to:

  • Foster camaraderie among current and former members

  • Honor and support Veterans and CA Army National Guard Soldiers

  • Promote patriotism and esprit de corps

  • Preserve and publicize Regiment history and traditions

  • Provide charitable support and scholarships consistent with our mission

We are committed to building a network where service is remembered, sacrifice is respected, and fellowship remains strong.

Membership is open to those who served in, were attached to, or support the 1-18th Cavalry Regiment .

Membership Categories Include:

  • Veteran Members – Honorably discharged or retired Regiment members

  • CA Army National Guard Members – Currently serving Soldiers

  • Family Associates – Spouses and descendants

  • Honorary Members – Recognized supporters

  • Friends of the Regiment – Distinguished contributors

Members enjoy opportunities to vote, participate in events, reconnect with fellow Soldiers, and preserve the Regiment’s heritage.

Governance & Leadership

The Association is guided by an Executive Council dedicated to stewardship, integrity, and continuity .

Executive Council:

  • Sergio Soto (President) – Provides strategic direction and leadership

  • Anthony Reading (Vice President) – Supports organizational priorities and initiatives

  • Darell Baldwin (Chief Financial Officer “CFO”) – Oversees financial integrity and accountability

  • James Moore (Chief Security Officer “CSO”) – Advises on compliance and governance safeguards

  • Jamall Green (Chief Information Officer “CIO”) – Leads communications and digital presence

  • Tony Pirone (Chief Operating Officer “COO”) – Coordinates operations and events

  • Michelle McDevitt (Secretary) – Maintains records, documentation, and official proceedings

Officers serve staggered terms to ensure stability, continuity, and responsible governance .
